Screenshots
Every screenshot on this site was taken by us, on our own Windows 11 PC, during our own tests. They show Microsoft software, including Paint 3D, Paint, Photos, App Installer and Windows Settings, to explain how it works. The software in them belongs to Microsoft.
Photo
Some screenshots show a living room photo being edited. That photo is used under the Unsplash License, which allows free use and does not require attribution.
The Paint 3D download
The Paint 3D app package we host is Microsoft's own file, unmodified. It was obtained from a public archive on GitHub that preserves every Paint 3D build Microsoft released. We thank the people who keep that archive. The archive is also credited on our download page.
Diagrams and icons
The diagrams and the Paint 3D Lab logo are our own original work.
Fonts
The site uses three typefaces, each under the SIL Open Font License:
- Bricolage Grotesque by Mathieu Triay, for headings.
- Instrument Sans by Rodrigo Fuenzalida and Jordan Egstad, for body text.
- JetBrains Mono by JetBrains, Philipp Nurullin and Konstantin Bulenkov, for labels and code.
Trademarks
Paint 3D, Paint, Photos, Windows and Microsoft are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. Other product names we mention, including Blender, GIMP, Krita, paint.net, Photopea, SketchUp, Tinkercad and Unsplash, belong to their owners. We use these names only to describe the products.
